Soquel High’s baseball team, enjoying one of the finest seasons in Santa Cruz County history, gave powerhouse Valley Christian all it could handle in the first round of the Central Coast Section Division I playoffs Saturday.
Soquel High’s girls volleyball team opened the Central Coast Section Division IV playoffs with a Saturday afternoon matinee, sweeping Monte Vista Christian 25-15, 27-25, 25-13.
